Ginseng Varieties
Panax Ginseng, or Asian Ginseng, is classified as white ginseng or red ginseng based on how it is processed. Our White Ginseng Powder is ground from peeled and naturally dried ginseng root, while Red Ginseng is steamed whole, then dried, which produces its characteristic red hue.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, both red and white ginseng are considered “warming” and promote “yang” energy, though red is thought to be more stimulating. By contrast, American Ginseng is considered energetically cooling and supportive of “yin” energy.
